Objects and documents lost by passengers and found at the airport are kept in the Lost and Found department for periods ranging from seven to 60 days. If you have forgotten something at the terminal, don’t waste your time: contact them to recover your belongings as soon as possible.
Documents: If not claimed by the owners within a period of 60 (sixty) days from the date of registration in the system, they will be destroyed. This rule applies to driver's licenses, identity cards (RG), CPF (individual taxpayer identification number), work permits, birth certificates and passports.
Bank cards: Individual bank cards found, if not claimed within seven days, will be destroyed.
Perishable, wet, or damaged items: They are disposed of after 12 hours.
To retrieve your lost object or document, simply contact the responsible area and schedule the retrieval. In your message, explain what was lost and its characteristics, such as color and size. Also, provide the date on which you intend to retrieve the item and your contact phone number.
Pick-up: Monday to Friday (except holidays), from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Please note that the return of lost objects and documents to third parties can only be done with a formal authorization, by proxy, from the owner of the forgotten item. The document should specify all the details of the object. It is also necessary for the bearer to present an original photo ID.
