How can I take my pet on the flight?
Domestic animals can be authorized by airlines to travel in the cabin or in the cargo hold of the aircraft. Depending on the size or breed, the animal may need to wear a muzzle to access the airport terminal.

Can a passenger take native plants, animals, or biological material from Brazil to a foreign country?
Yes, as long as they have legal origin and the person obtains a license from IBAMA (Brazilian Institute of Environment and Renewable Natural Resources). The license application must be filled out on the IBAMA website, under the option "Services," "License for import or export of flora and fauna - Cites and non-Cites."
The request can only be made by individuals or legal entities registered in IBAMA's Federal Technical Registry, which can be obtained on the IBAMA website under the option "Services," "Register." The filled-out application should be sent to IBAMA, and the progress can be tracked by the applicant in real time.
Once the application is approved and the corresponding fee is paid, the license is issued. However, it should be noted that there are animal species whose importation is prohibited. The international transportation of animals considered domestic according to IBAMA Ordinance No. 93/1998, such as dogs and cats, is exempt from IBAMA's license requirement.
It is also important to check the phytosanitary or zoosanitary requirements of the destination country, which should be consulted with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) to assess whether they can be met or not.

Is it possible to take objects from Brazil or bring objects into the country that contain parts of wild native or exotic species?
Yes, products that have proof of legal origin can be exported or imported with a license from IBAMA. The procedure for obtaining the license is the same as described in the previous items and applies to products from species included and not included in the CITES appendix.
The international transportation of these objects, when considered for personal use, is exempt from IBAMA's license requirement.
To import objects containing parts of animals, in addition to the requirements of IBAMA, the traveler must request import authorization from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. With the authorization and Brazilian sanitary requirements in hand, the traveler must obtain a Sanitary Certificate from the official veterinary authority of the country of origin abroad, complying with the requirements stated in the granted authorization, and present it to the inspection of Mapa upon arrival in Brazil.
