Aeroporto Internacional do Recife Guararapes - Gilberto Freyre
Innovative real estate project begins to be implemented in Recife (Brazil) to transform the surroundings of the airports and enhance the offer and quality of services
More services, new hotels, restaurants, convention center, shopping spaces, distribution and logistics ventures. After transforming the six airports it operates in the Northeast into modern, comfortable, and technological infrastructures, Aena now launches the Real Estate initiative, an innovative project that will impact the entire airport surroundings. The project is based on the concept of aerotropolis, or airport city.
The idea combines new forms of urbanism and the real estate market, integrating airports with cities and establishing new, more qualified uses for areas that have no operational function. The result is a complete transformation of the landscape, which will adapt in a sustainable and planned way to the economic and social development of the territory where the airports operate. The project also raises the offering and level of services provided to passengers.
To implement the program – in a model already being tested in several cities worldwide - Aena identified the types of ventures that align with each airport, meeting local demands in Recife. Thus, the project brings improvements to the city and enhances the territory, ensuring sustainability, thoughtful urbanism, and respect for the municipality's master plan.
Aena is looking for investors interested in undertaking projects. To learn more about the project and discuss partnerships, contact us:
